But how do we awaken?

If ever there were a secret sauce to feeling AWAKE and alive to the sweetness your life,
it would be made up of these 4 ingredients:

  • Metabolizing in-the-moment emotions: Unfelt & undealt with emotions will stay in the body. And until we build the skills & capacity to metabolize them, they’ll be there, silently shaping our mood, behaviors, relationships and sense of aliveness. When we can allow the tides of emotion to wash through us, moving with them rather than bracing or avoiding them, we become intimate with our fullest expression of self.

  • Stabilizing the nervous system: Establishing a felt sense of safety in the body & nervous system, and broadening our range of regulation so the ups and downs don’t feel so extreme, making way for more presence, stability, resonance & wellbeing.

  • Addressing & tending to old wounds: Clearing the density of trauma and chronic threat responses the body has been holding, allowing the unconscious pain to form consciously in our awareness, so that old pain may transform into presence & new possibilities.

  • Growing what’s good: Growing a wide range of resources to help us not only stabilize in shaky times, but reveal to us over and over the goodness, beauty, awe, love, ease and pleasure available to us when we’re able to slow down enough to be present to it. We do this by developing an attention geared towards what’s well and right, and inviting that well and right -ness to be experienced and deepened in the body. This is where we reconnect to the breath of life, the aliveness of the world around us, and really remember our interconnectedness as beings.

Hey, I’m holly

Certified body oriented coach, somatic practitioner, group facilitator and educator with 7+ years of professional experience in mental health & coaching sectors.

At the heart of it, I support folks to build the skills needed to shift and heal patterns of behavior and ways of being that are no longer serving them.

I do this work because it’s what I needed in order to disrupt the cycles of numbing, masking, and anxious reactivity that were keeping me asleep to all the beauty & sweetness of my own life.

For years I felt like I was just playing wack-a-mole with my coping skills. Emotional eating turned to restrictive eating turned to promiscuity turned to drinking turned to over-working 🔁
Moving from one to the next and sometimes back again, all as a means to feel some sense of okayness & like I was worth loving.

It wasn’t until I was able to slow the eff down with my inner experience and be curious, compassionate and mothering towards my pain, that I was able to unravel the wounding patterns that were keeping me stuck in this loop of suffering.

This unraveling has happened over the last decade with the support of many modalities and people along the way. But the most impactful, lasting work I did (and still do) has been working with my own somatic coach.

Tending to my pain through an embodied framework has been the only version of ‘self care’ that has led to lasting change. This work has helped me feel more capable, self-trusting, safe, connected and downright excited to be alive.

In this workshop I’ll teach you the foundations of the somatic work that brought me here, so that you can begin feeling giddy about your own life again too.
